• The desired repertoire for the masterclass (3 complete works of different styles and/or periods are recommended, of which one work without accompaniment)

General Terms and Conditions of Participation
Admission to active participation, as well as any rejection, will be sent by the organizer only after the decision of the lecturer. Active participants are accepted only for the full duration of the course. Applications for underage participants must be submitted by a legal guardian. Applications received after the deadline can only be considered if course slots are still available. After approval by the lecturer, the course fee must be transferred upon receipt of the payment request. If the course is canceled by the organizer, the course fee will be refunded. During the course, video, photo, and audio recordings will be made and may be partially used for promotional purposes on social media, our website, or other channels. By applying, the participant agrees that such recordings may be made and used in excerpts for promotional purposes. The Musikakademie Stift Lambach selects the material with the utmost care to present all participants in a favorable way.

Payment Terms

 After being accepted, registration is binding. The course fee must be transferred within 7 days upon receipt of the payment request.

All bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the participant. If any fees are nonetheless charged to the Musikakademie Stift Lambach, they must be reimbursed on the day of arrival.

FAQ

Where does the masterclass take place?

The course venue is the Benediktiner Stift Lambach, Klosterplatz 1, 4650 Lambach in Upper Austria.

Are there transfers to the course location?

Any journeys are to be organised by the course participants or accompanying persons themselves. The course location is well connected to the S-Bahn network. Travelling expenses will not be reimbursed.

In which languages are lessons held?

The languages of instruction are generally German and/or English.

Where will the participants be accommodated?

Accommodation for active participants in the master class will be provided at the Benedictine Abbey in Lambach or, in exceptional cases, at the Gasthof Eitzinger.

Are accompanying persons accommodated?

Accommodation for accompanying persons is NOT possible at Lambach Benedictine Abbey. Please contact the nearest tourist office.

Is accommodation included in the course fee?

No, the course fee does not cover meals and accommodation at Stift Lambach. Travel expenses will also not be reimbursed.

Do I have to bring my own sheet music?

All sheet music including piano parts and scores must be brought by the participants.

Do I have to play at the final concert?

Places in the final concert are limited and will be allocated based on necessity - for example, in preparation for an upcoming audition or competition. We kindly ask all participants to indicate in their application whether they wish to perform and, if so, to briefly explain why. The selection and scope of the participants' programme will be agreed with the course management and the teacher. In addition, internal, non-public performances for all participants will also take place.

Am I insured during the course?

The organiser Musikakademie Stift Lambach does NOT insure the participants. Participants are advised to take out individual cancellation, travel and health insurance.

Liability

The Musikakademie Stift Lambach accept no liability for the safety of course participants or for any damage caused to buildings, facilities, instruments or persons.

Note

The provisions of the local Youth Protection Act apply to course participants who are not of legal age. The instructions of the course management and the administration of the foundation must be followed. In the event of serious offences, the course management reserves the right to exclude the participant in question from further participation in the course; a pro rata refund of the course fee and accommodation will not be granted.
